Read how kale changed this Dario user’s diabetes management!

My name is Sandie and I’m affectionately known as Crazykalelady. Yes, I like kale, but the real reason I’m crazy about it comes from my story. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in 2007, just five years after having Gestational Diabetes with my last pregnancy. After diagnosis, I left the doctor’s office with prescription in hand, confused and uneducated.

I spent the next few years taking the medication but never feeling better. I was sick of being sick. I started to research all that I could on how to feel better. I spent tons of time at the library, “YouTube University”, reading article after article. It all pointed to changing my lifestyle and more specifically, actually eating real food.

The transitions were hard, but I was determined. In many of the articles, I read about taking care of our liver and helping it detox. I also read how kale (the new rage at the time) was a great superfood to help do this. So, I jumped on the bandwagon and kale and I were married. Kale smoothies, kale juices, kale salads, kale chips… even Ryan Gosling sent me a “hey girl” kale bouquet! I had to start growing kale to keep up with my demand. Crazykalelady was born.

I started seeing changes in my body right away. I was feeling energized, awake, and great! I lost inches and pounds and best of all, I finally got to the point where I didn’t need Metformin to control my blood sugar. Friends noticed and asked how and I started helping them make changes, too. It was then I knew I could help many. I went to social media and Crazykalelady grew from there. Right now I have great communities of those I support and who support me on Facebook, Instagram (@crazykalelady), and Snapchat.

I recently found Dario and immediately loved it from the moment I saw the advert for it! I use it on a daily basis up to 4 times a day and find it to be very accurate. My favorite part of using Dario is that it’s convenient. All my supplies are in one place and all my logging is done for me on my cell phone via the app. How much easier does it get? Not much. Thank you Dario!
